Growing up south of Los Angeles, the number of liquor stores, bars, and deaths outweigh the amount of opportunities available for us to proper and potentially accomplish our dreams. Being born into communities with low resources, violence, and lack of opportunities, most young adults take the wrong path and in the illusion of accomplishing dreams, nightmares come true. Others go to college and get a degree. Then there are others who make their own job, career, and become their own boss. Such was the case in my hometown of South Gate, where most of my colleagues were pursuing a music career. The beats, lyrics, and everything sounded dope, but there was one problem and that was exposure. See, production was good, but what good is it if not many people have listened to your music? Constant marketing on your social media only markets to the same audience if you’re not receiving the proper amount of likes, re-tweets, or favorites. That is why we decided to create a network where we give upcoming artists the opportunity to expose their musical talent to the rest of the world.
