Location: Los Angeles, CA. Meet G.I. Joe, an L.A. resident, who has been bringing gangster rap back into the West Coast, and perhaps the rap game. Raised in some of the toughest streets of Los Angeles, G.I. Joe is no stranger to the streets and that is demonstrated within each one of his tracks.

They say "real recognize real" and perhaps that's the reason why Nipsey Hussle and him have worked on multiple tracks, putting on for the streets. Not to mention the work he has created with rappers from the Crenshaw District and all around Los Angeles, pushing street music and keeping gangster rap within the city.

His latest mixtape "7 Grams", in which he hops on classic beats, is a demonstration of the talent G.I. Joe has. The rapper did his thing on the mixtape and dropped some hard lyrics for the gangsters and rap enthusiasts to vibe to. To top it off, the rapper closes the mixtape with a special song dedicated to Slauson Ave. The track is really dope and should be appreciated at full because the rapper shows mad love for the street and his city on this one.
