From Flint, Michigan to Los Angeles, Yoshi Vintage has successfully been making her way into the L.A music scene with her unique style of music. Yoshi Vintage left her hometown of Flint to pursue a better life in Los Angeles, however, as she states in her most recent project "Nostalgia", it wasn't the easiest decision made. For a long time she had to struggle with many issues like living in the street, getting food, living without her parents, and lacking support or a helping hand from anyone when she felt all was lost.
But tough times don't last and now the 19 year old L.A based artist has found a way to put her thoughts and feelings into amazing tracks produced by Siid.
The artist's latest project "Nostalgia", a very well produced EP, has had a very successful reception due to the message, energy, and creativity she brings into it. From talking about her personal struggle to the issues people in Flint and around the nation face, Yoshi Vintage hopped on a variety of beats and concisely delivered the message through her "intergalactic" flow, as she considers it, making it a pleasurable project to listen to.
But, the grind does not stop and the artist has began working on the EP "48458" and her album "Mercury's Retrograde" both set to release this year. We can also expect these projects to be something special and mind blowing. Really though, her work will have your mind traveling into a subtle state of trance and relaxation.
It's been a while since we've come across such style of music and we hope to hear more from Yoshi and similar artists' from around the world. Give her work a listen, pour yourself a drink, roll a doobie, sit back, and enjoy!
